This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Man and Van Kennington in relation to our operations and supply chains. Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man and Van Kennington has a clear zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, servitude, and child labour. Our Business and Supply Chains

Man and Van Kennington provides local and regional transport, removal, and related services. Our supply chains include vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging providers, recruitment and labour agencies, and facilities and office service providers.

We recognise that modern slavery can occur at any point in a supply chain, particularly where there may be low-skilled or temporary labour, or where sourcing extends beyond the United Kingdom. We therefore seek to identify, assess, and manage any risks of exploitation linked to our business partners and suppliers.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect our suppliers and contractors to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery. As part of our supplier due diligence, we aim to:

Assess new suppliers for their labour and human rights practices, including their own policies and statements where available. Require suppliers to comply with relevant legislation and to confirm that they do not tolerate forced, bonded, or involuntary labour. Prioritise working with suppliers who can demonstrate robust ethical sourcing and employment practices.

We reserve the right to conduct audits or request evidence to verify compliance with our standards. These audits may include reviewing employment records, working conditions, recruitment practices, and training materials. Where risks are identified, we will work with suppliers to implement corrective actions within a reasonable timeframe. We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against any person who raises a concern in good faith, even if it is not ultimately substantiated.

Training and Awareness

We aim to increase awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff, especially those involved in procurement, recruitment, and supplier management. Where relevant, training and guidance will cover recognising indicators of exploitation, understanding our zero-tolerance policy, and knowing how to report concerns.

Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement

Man and Van Kennington is committed to continual improvement in our approach to tackling modern slavery. We will review this Modern Slavery Statement at least once every year, or more frequently if required by changes in legislation, our business operations, or identified risks.

As part of the annual review, we will consider the effectiveness of our actions, feedback from employees and suppliers, any incidents reported, and opportunities to strengthen our due diligence, audits, and training. Updated versions of this statement will reflect the progress we make and any additional measures we decide to implement.
